About the film:
This ethnographic film centers around folk healing practices in rural areas
of Eastern Iran, mostly performed by women. Presenting some of these
through interviews with their female practitioners, The Healer explore
the environment, beliefs. gender dynamics and the ways people of the
region understand and interact with human bodies.
